Our printing equipment is equipped to handle highly complex and multicoloured orders, skipping the costly and time consuming process of colour separation and screen preparation that screen printing entails.
Direct to Garment printing allows us to load your design directly from our computer to our machine's printing software, simplifying the process tremendously. From there, we follow this quick set of steps to ensure that every print comes out in great quality.
First, shirts receive a quick pre-press on our heat presses to ensure any extra moisture or wrinkles are removed before the printing process begins. For dark coloured garments, we then apply a pre-treat solution to the fabric to act as a base layer for ink binding. This is done because for dark coloured garments, our printer initially lays a base layer of special white ink before the CMYK print colours are added. The pre-treatment solution helps this ink bind to the shirts fibres and ensures that no matter how dark the actual garment colour is, the ink colours in the design remain vibrant in the final print.
This additional layer ensures that designs really "pop." Once the garment has been pre-treated and heat sealed, it is loaded into the direct to garment printer and the printing process begins. After garments have been pre-treated and printed, we cure and bake the ink as it runs through our infrared conveyor dryer.
Direct to Garment is perfect for highly detailed designs and comes highly recommended by our team if you’re looking for a great, long-lasting print.
