Direct to Garment printing offers full colour realistic printing with a soft hand feel for designs with a wide colour range. Stay Golden Custom was excited to be one of the first shops to introduce direct to garment printing technology to Atlantic Canada in 2018.
In direct to garment printing, printing equipment directly applies ink onto a t-shirt with its duel White/CMYK print heads. DTG uses water-based inks, which are absorbed by the fibers of the garment, leaving a very soft, smooth feel to the shirt.
DTG printing is very high resolution, so you’re able to print images in high detail and clients are not limited in the number of colours or shades that can be used. This is similar to Direct Film Transfer printing, another full colour printing option that we offer.
DTG is also a great option for those who don’t have a large budget to make an up-front investment for a large order of garments as there are lower minimum order quantities.
