Stay Golden Custom was founded in 2012 by a group of students at Colonel Gray — launching our business out of the student council office with the support of a community who believed in our idea and dream. Over a decade later, our company is scaling across Atlantic Canada and we're proud to offer this bursary award to support a student with entrepreneurial ambitions of their own. This award isn’t just for students planning to study business — it’s for the doers, the go-getters and the builders.
This award was established in 2025 and includes a $1000 prize with $500 contributed from Stay Golden Custom and $500 from MVRK Inc, a company started by another Colonel Gray graduate from the class of 2012.
The prize package also includes a three month summer membership at Charlottetown's "Foundry" startup incubator located at 163 Great George Street where they will have access to office space throughout the summer from the PEI IT Alliance as they develop their business and learn about the best technology to help it grow. Mentorship opportunities will be available in the form of coaching calls from the founders of Stay Golden Custom, MVRK and the PEI IT Alliance.
Whether you're learning about entrepreneurship through the Junior Achievement company program, developing the next big app or building something entirely unique of your own, we want to recognize and support your entrepreneurial ambitions. It’s our way of paying it forward and investing in the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.
